Hi,
How’s your day going? I hope things aren’t too hectic or overwhelming. If you need to take a break, remember it’s totally fine to take some time to relax.
Years back I would feel guilty when people used to tell me to take it easy when I showed signs of being stressed or overworked. That feeling where you fear showing signs of being tired is an indication of weakness. I don’t know where I got that idea from but it has taken a while for me to shake it off. Now that I’m older I reflect in horror at the times I worked crazy hours and took no days off for 8 months straight because I was convinced that was the right way to show commitment at work.
Enough about me. How are you? 2022 has been interesting so far, but we’re here, and we are growing one way or another, so there has to be some positive we can focus on, right? Are you thinking about next year already? If you are please relax. There’s still one whole quarter ahead with a lot of things to look forward to. Not that I’m saying you should completely ignore the fact that 2023 is coming around, just don’t make it the main thing on your priority list, except if it is.
It’s important to live in the present, to appreciate what’s happening right now. We sometimes lose track of that. For example, I’ve been stressing about so many things I want to develop and work on I forgot this Newsletter is currently in its 6th month. A truly remarkable thing for me. That you all have allowed me to write and express myself in my little way and seeing your likes, your comments, your private messages and the other ways your take away from my writing truly has taken me to a whole new level of appreciation I have for every one of you.
I want to believe it’s no coincidence I started this newsletter at the time I did. I admit I truly wasn’t in a good place when I did, and there were days when I doubted I would make it this far or would get as many subscriptions as I have today, but now I’m finding a new hunger to write better for you all. I’m grateful to you for finding what I write relevant or remotely interesting. It has been a process of discovery and education.
Do you find yourself questioning if you are doing enough? Are you still trying to figure out what you truly consider your passion? It’s totally fine to still be searching for the answers to these questions. People do this well into the later part of their lives, what is key is to not lose that curiosity. I’m still figuring it out as I go also, gradually coming to terms with the fact that I can’t give up because of a couple of setbacks. I do hope you don’t give up as well.
Thanks for hanging with me for the past six months, I hope we do better and bigger things in the coming six months and beyond.
Take care and love yourself.
Thank you once again. X
